He has performed with the renowned Harlem Hot Shots, a group seen by many as the best swing dance troupe in the world. In 2011 he joined The Midnight Rounders, a group performing swing dance routines inspired by original footage of dancers from the swing era.

Markus took a major role in a series of Christmas dance musicals which brought swing to the biggest theatres in Sweden and Europe. These included 'MAYDAY - It´s Christmas' (2017), 'The Band That Stole Christmas' (2014), 'A Christmas Puzzle', (2013) and 'In The Mood For Christmas', (2012).

Between 2012 and 2014, Markus taught and performed in "Danskrysset", a project bringing dance movement and history to kids. The project received government funding for its achievements, and reached over 3000 kids between the ages of 8-14.

Finally, and perhaps most prestigiously, Markus performed with the Moose Maniacs at 'Frankie 100' in New York City - a celebration of the life of Frankie Manning, Ambassador of Lindy Hop.
